How to set up Google Apps on domain?

In order to do the necessary changes you will need first to disable the mail service for the domain. You can do that from your "Websites/SSL" section in your administration panel by clicking on the button "Settings" for the domain you want and mark the checkbox "Turn off e-mail for this domain".

NOTE: Keep in mind this will remove any e-mail accounts associated with that domain along with any email messages in them (hosted with us).

When the email service of the domain is disabled you can proceed with the DNS changes. First you will need to add the MX of Google in your "Edit DNS" section for the domain on which you want to use the mail service of Google APPS.

The MX records should be with the following values and priorities:

  VALUE                                   PRIORITY

ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. 1
ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. 5
ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. 5
ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. 10
ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. 10

In order to add the MX records you will need to go in your "Edit DNS" section in your WPX Hosting panel and to select the domain on which you want to set up Google APPS and then to click on the button "Add New Record".

You can follow the example below to see how you can point properly the MX records:

Finally you need to verify the domain in Google. For this moment you can verify the domain directly from your panel by using SPF, TXT or DKIM type of records as verification method.
