How To Transfer A Domain To WPX Hosting
These are the steps for transferring a .com, .net, .org or .info domain from your current registrar (e.g. namecheap.com, name.com, godaddy.com) to us.
Other domain extension types (e.g. .fr, .cc, .co.uk) can be more complicated so please raise a support ticket here for advice on moving other domain extension types:

Once your domain/s has been transferred to us, annual renewals and domain management will be through your WPX Hosting admin panel.
In terms of cost, the domain transfer cost is the same price as annual renewal so it makes financial sense to wait until your domain has almost expired before moving it to us e.g. in the last month of its current registration (but NOT in the last week before renewal, more on that below).
The domain transfer cost ALSO includes 1 year of free domain registration so you do NOT need to pay for both the transfer and a year of domain registration.

Domain transfers – essential requirements:
- There must be no fewer than 7 days until the domain expires
- The transfer lock should be disabledÂ
- Domain privacy protection should be disabled
- You must have access to the Registrant/Administrative email address in the domain whois records.
- You need to have a valid EPP key from your current domain registrar for this domain
All of the above changes can be done in the domain control panel at the current registrar that you are moving the domain away from (e.g. namecheap.com, name.com, godaddy.com).
If you do not have access to the above options in your current domain registrar admin panel, you will need to contact their support to make the needed changes on the domain and to have the EPP key sent to you.

And provide the domain name and EPP code (supplied by your current registrar for that domain) to us in that Support Ticket.
We will then generate an invoice in your account for that domain transfer BUT the above steps need to have been done (transfer lock disabled etc) before raising the ticket with us.
When the invoice from us has been paid, the transfer process will be initiated:
1. Shortly after the invoice has been paid, our registrar will send a Transfer Confirmation email to the email address listed in the Whois Registrant/Administrative contact and Authorization email details.
2. You will then need to accept the transfer by clicking a confirmation link inside the email.
3. If the EPP code is correct, the transfer to us will take up to 7 days to complete, usually a couple of days on average.
4. After the transfer of the domain to us is completed, you will receive a notification email from our admin system and you can then manage that transferred domain in your WPX admin panel.
If the procedure fails on one of the above steps, we will contact you with the reason for the failure (e.g. incorrectly copied EPP code, missing information, transfer-locked domain) and advise what to do next.
After the needed changes are made on your end, you will then need to contact us back so we can restart the domain transfer again.
